A little hello

Yup! A little greeting "Hello" after a long time. I miss writing in my blog. Well, honestly I don't have much thing to tell since I passed my college life. I was working, dating, preparing stuffs, and sometimes to lazy to snap my outings and post it in my blog. Or maybe I am too old to blog?

I decided to login my blog when Christine (yeah, my ex-housemate and forever bestie) sent pictures of food we used to eat when we're student to our Line social chat group. Then since I have nothing to do (I have sore eyes these past days, and staying at home all day) so I browse some old pictures of us and it brings me to this blog. Even I am not sure how many people is actually reading my blog, I found out that having blog doesn't always mean to be read by other people. You can write everything down, look at it few years later and rewind what you've gone through. It's like reading stories you write about yourself for yourself.

I don't know when I will come back to write again. However I'll never delete this blog even I am no longer writing, getting old, having children or forgot my password. Thing is, I am gonna keep this blog and read it over and over again through my old days. Just wishing that blogger will never shut.

If this is dream, don't wake me up

Have I told you how great my life is? Im not exaggerate it, but everything seems unreal. I never think that I actually born with passion for fashion. Nor I have specific talent. Seeing a lot of people who is way better than me in any field, I should admit I doubt about myself. But God works in his own way. Ever since I become a servant of God, I feel more and more blessed. Besides that, I am feeling grateful for having a supportive bf. He encourages me all the time no matter how much I complain (he probably feel annoyed sometimes :')

He is a caring brother, good listener and advisor, amusing friend, reliable partner, a talented cook, unbelievable makeup artist, ex-model, fashion admirer, and shoe entrepreneur wanna be. There are still a lot about him that I can't write one by one. In the end, he is mine. My one and only one, RDN ♥ thanks for everything ! :)

I just finished writing about Anne Avantie for VOICE+ April Issue. She is such an inspiration. I started to think few women whom I adore. Not only because of their beauty, but also their personality. Compare to men, women should feel great. The simple thing to think about is we can wear both pants and skirt, while men only wear pants their entire life.

The Pioneer of Kebaya 
If u are Indonesian, Im sure u know who she is. If u are not, here's a little story about her. Anne Avantie is a fashion designer specialized in Kebaya. Her designs are beyond perfect. She combined traditional material with modern silhouette. The amazing fact about her is, she never experience formal study about fashion. Yet she become one of most influential designer in Indonesia.  And she is social activist. She help kids who suffer hydrocephalus. Her social journey began when her mother was cured from cancer. She made 'promise' to help who suffer.

Nadya Hutagalung was born to an Australian mother and Indonesia father. She start  modelling at 12 years old in Tokyo, Japan. She also become one of the VJ when MTV Asia was launched. She is well known in Asia. There's no doubt about her beauty. She has a project about green living called GreenKampong. And one of Singapore's top 20 influential people voted by CNN. And she is the host of Asia's Next Top Model.

Her charm is flawless. Her life is a dream come true. Kate Middleton has everything women desired. Pretty outfits, charming prince, memorable wedding ceremony, and omg! Her hair, the curl, the color, everything always look perfect. I admit her style is classic but classy. Not sure if she really has the taste or Nikki Pennie, her stylist does.

Who doesn't recognize this fabulous woman? She's an actress, film director, humanitarian, a hot mama and wife to Brad Pitt. Her lips are every women's dream (or yeah, the dream of men as well) She always appear cool and sexy in most of her movies. Besides, she did a lot of charity.

They say "You become what you read" I think that's true. Since I started working for VOICE+, I read a lot about humanity, be more concerned about the situation that happening, not to mention how I am so inspired to make a change. We probably can't take back what has been lost, such as global warming. Instead preventing it from getting worse.

Flood has been a serious issue in Jakarta these days. 5 hours jam is not something surprising on these rainy days. Another thing is racist has been a trending topic lately. I don't know, what are those people thinking. Somehow, even our descent was born chinese, we remain citizens of Indonesia.

Despite that all, I believe there are lot of people out there working to solve this shit.

I never love Monday! Doesnt mean I hate my job. I dont know, Im kinda lost my mood and spirit on this job. I mean, yes I love writing and fashion. What annoy me a lot recently is the fact that famous people are so cocky. Yeah, I understand why they're acting that way. Fame, huh? But still, how could u keep canceling the appointment u've made? Busy? Oh, so they think they're the only people who has the busiest life. Think about it, what are those people without media? I know it's not proper to bitching it out on my blog.

I'd rather have my own business. U know, being your own boss is cool. And yeah, Im working on my own label, which already planned last year. Not much progression has been made. Having my own label is one of resolution this year.

Speaking of resolution, I dont make any specific yet. January seems like usual month to me. I know, people should at least celebrate, showing their new whole spirit. I always try to live positively. But life is so much harder than we thought. GOD! Im talking like I know how life works. HA!

Just drop by so I could have a post on this date. Many people thought this year will be the end. As we know earth is getting older, and human is going wilder. Mahatma Gandhi once said, "Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need, but not every man's greed." So whatever happens on earth is caused by human. Sad, huh?

Well, I wrote about recycling fashion on the previous edition of Voice+. About how to reuse, reduce and recycle outfits. Not to mention, how exciting I was creating a dress from newspaper. And yeah! I was satisfied with the photoshot.

I have to POST this! I spent my sunday watching this show. Starring the cutest kids alive! Called Real Kid Story Rainbow. As u know, I LOVE Kids so MUCH!! I fell in love once with Baby Mavin from the Moon brothers. And now I just couldn't resist Woo Do Yoon's charm! He's the youngest and the sweetest kid in that show.

Iphone 5 was launched yesterday and the whole world seems so excited about it. The news are everywhere, not to mention the jokes about the tallest phone yet. Ever! Lol~

This might be my unforgettable gadget. I keep watching TV and many actress using this phone. I don't know which series it is. At that time, there is a service which connect us to the idol. We just send our sms and they will reply. I still remember I sent one. End up the operator replied me without any answer. So I finally bought  a gadget magazine and found what I've been searching!

We should admit cellphone is human's best friend. We take them everywehere, check on them every 5 minutes, sleep beside them, and we will feel anxious if we left them somewhere. Even our best partner for acting while we are waiting, we can pretending texting someone just to look 'normal'. *lol*
I recall all the memories I spent with them. And the people who I used to send sms. It's unbelievable how we all coming here through. These years have brought us to a new generation of technology. See our first phone, can only call, send message and play snake. Then, we can have colorful display with polyphonic. After few years, we can send pictures and music through bluetooth. And now, we can know what is happening in the world in one click plus voice commanding our phone to do the task. Incredible. I wonder what will happen in the next 10 years from now. A transparent plastic-like phone which we stick on our palm? Im looking forward it.

After all this time

After all this time, how could a person still can't get over someone, while other people already moved on? Time heals, doesn't it? Question is, how long does it takes to heal?

People come and leave, but memories remain.
Well, I don't know what I'm talking. Just another crap I think.

Yes! I believe in pink. And so obsessed with it. Everything in pink catch my attention. Pink is more than just color to me, it's like a soul to express the feeling. Either u're in love or broken. 

2. Im a home-based child. I could stay whole day even weeks at home. As long as there're food, internet, music, movies or BOOKS!

3. I used to act like a teacher when I was a little girl. I collect all my books, throw them and shout my classmate names. I had a lot of dream. I want to be a chef when my mom gave me a cooking set toy. I want to be a pregnant woman when I put a pillow inside my dress. I want to be a business woman, when I put my mom's heels on my feet. I want to be a singer, when I karaoke with my sister. And last but not least, I want to be a designer when I found my mom's sewing machine.

4. I had a faded scar on my right side knee. That's because I ran to my dad when he got home. Neglecting his motorbike exhaust. And BOOM!

5. I got trapped in my wardrobe couple months ago when I was trying to clean the inside. So I got in and wipe the door. Suddenly the door slide and closed. I panicked and couldnt think for more than 10 minutes. All I thought is I might dead! I might dead. Haha! Then I relaxed and found my wedges, using the strap to open the door. I feel so grateful that moment.

6. Most of times, I open the last page of a novel just to read the ending. So I wont die of guessing while Im reading.

That's all. Maybe Im not good enough to understand myself. And there might be another post like this in the future.

Healthy Life

Sound ridiculous. But Im trying to have a healthier life. Remember when I said Im on diet? Well, no more. But Im just control my meal (or I guess so) lol~

Ah! Today I bought a converse in peach color. My first spend for this month's salary. Gotta save more money in the future (read: no more shopping for this month)

Mindset

Is it brain control the mindset? Or the heart? Somebody please tell me. Is it true that brain and heart, logic and feeling are never in line?
Today I found myself trapped in my own mindset. I was all about complaining how my life goes, the hardship I've been struggling. On the other side, I was thinking of how grateful my life is, comparing to others. Well, some middle-lower class people.
In the end, I just tell myself,
"You are the one who responsible for your happiness. Not because u're not allowed to drive a car, so u don't happy. It's about the way u think. Some people said, u should compare your life to people who has a better life than u. No! It's not all the way it is. Sometimes, u need to look down, just to remind yourself how to be thankful."

At first, I was complaining to my parents. I want to drive, I want puppy, I want new phone, I want this, I want that. But I forgot, how much I've been given. Well, I was born nearly perfect (read: 2 eyes that can see, 2 ears that can hear, and so on), I've experienced college life, I have a job, I have a better shelter to live, while other people still think what to eat for tomorrow.

Im not saying Im a good person. Im sure I'll still complaining about life in the future. But I wish, what happened today will be a new start of my mindset.

Barbie

I just watched a Barbie Princess Charm School. Well, the story is common, live happily ever after in the end.

Im sure most of us (girl) used to play Barbie when we're lil girl. Change their clothes, and talk as her. I admire their gorgeous outfits. Mostly in PINK. And I must say, Im still amazed by their outfits. I was just browsing and found these incredible Barbie's fashion.
