If this is dream, don't wake me up

Have I told you how great my life is? Im not exaggerate it, but everything seems unreal. I never think that I actually born with passion for fashion. Nor I have specific talent. Seeing a lot of people who is way better than me in any field, I should admit I doubt about myself. But God works in his own way. Ever since I become a servant of God, I feel more and more blessed. Besides that, I am feeling grateful for having a supportive bf. He encourages me all the time no matter how much I complain (he probably feel annoyed sometimes :')

He is a caring brother, good listener and advisor, amusing friend, reliable partner, a talented cook, unbelievable makeup artist, ex-model, fashion admirer, and shoe entrepreneur wanna be. There are still a lot about him that I can't write one by one. In the end, he is mine. My one and only one, RDN ♥ thanks for everything ! :)

Plaza Senayan Palm Award 2013

This should be posted long time ago. And has been save as draft for two months. Blame me on my laziness to blog. As I wrote in my previous post, I joined Plaza Senayan fashion competition and be one of the finalists, I attended five days quarantine of Palm Award 2013. Meeting new people whom adore fashion, and made friend with them. It's my very first time joining fashion competition, bet you can imagine how excited I am. Luckily I have Wiha with me, because she's one of the finalist too. I think five days passed so fast. Well, It's a little tired at first, because you know I just get back from bf's hometown before heading for quarantine. But I do enjoy every moment, and I'd rather call it a holiday instead of quarantine.

See how I arrange all my stuffs.

On our third day, we visited Textile Museum in Jakarta. Instead of listening to the guide showing us types of Batik, we were being camwhore around the museum.

With the forever bestie - Wiha

With the boy Whempy - Ilonkz and Rian

Keep calm and crossed the legs

Me with Didik - A man with his strike pose

Me With Ranti

Geng Rumpi

And comes the D-day! At the backstage, snap snap and snap!

Well, you can hardly see the dress is way to short for the model. I felt so disappointed about that. Guess I have to work harder in the next competition. Sorry for the image quality, that is all I have.

I am joining another competition, wish me luck ! :)

The Lady Noir

I always dreaming of having my own fashion label. Which is one of my resolution this year. I'm glad that it actually made progress. Though it's new, I believe it will last.

Why VROUWEN?
Vrouwen means women in dutch language, and my collection are for women, so it's related. They say, choosing a label name is not easy. I totally agree. Before I decided to use Vrouwen, I was planning using my own name, which I 'modified' a bit. Beside it turned out weird, some friends told me the name is not selling. Oh, well!

For more please visit VROUWEN on facebook.

White Rose

I must say January is a hectic month for me. Lot of works to do. I supposed to do FOUR photoshot this month regarding my leave on February. Not only that, I was also faced some troubles like dealing with florist and bridal. I choose wedding theme for February issues. In the last minute I found out, there are NO florist and bridal. And I should create them all by myself, which I think is impossible. Cuz I only got two days. But thanks God, everything went well. Here's the story of my sleepless night. And I'd like to show you how to DIY rose from tissue paper. Yeah, you heard me!

All you need is tissue paper, and separate them by ply.

Fold it on the edge like the picture below.

Pinch diagonally. And start make the crumple by folding it each side till it shapes as desired. Stick a duck tape on the bottom, so the shape would stay.

DONE!

A simple wedding gown by me. Will post the proper photoshot on coming post!

Hanamasa

I admit I am a terrible diet person. MEAT is so hard to resist. This is just another outing with Marisa & Tiffany. We are truly carnivore!!!

Kondangan Peranakan Tionghoa

Last night I was invited to Kondangan Peranakan Tionghoa to celebrate the first year anniversary of ASPERTINA, a chinese descendants association of Indonesia. Held at Hotel Mulia, Jakarta with the chinese culture wedding as the theme. I was so excited finding the match outfits to attend the party. So, I specially make a skirt from batik. Which I modified from dress. I put a lot of afford though it. Luckily it ended the way I want. Here's the picture of my handmade batik skirt.

Outfit of the night

Basically it's a fashion show. But I didnt get the runway picture, because it way too far from my table. Another thing is it serves the Peranakan food which is so much alike with Indonesian Melayu cuisine.

The atmosphere is bringing me back to my hometown wedding party. Everything from the lighting and decoration are so 'Medan'.

I come to represent VOICE+, the magazine I work for. Luckily, I was accompanied by a colleague who helped me a lot during the interview. And he managed to take some pictures from the runway collection.

Summer in Thailand

Holla~ I come back after neglecting my blog quite long. Hope next month I'll be here more often. Working is much harder than college. *sigh*

So, I just had my awesome summer ever. I visited Thailand. Probably not as cool as my trip to Hongkong last year. But what makes this trip special is the people who I traveled with. I always said how important our companion in a trip, no matter which place we visit.

We spent most of our time on the way. We traveled by bus. 12 hours straight sitting on bus. Could u imagine how tough was that? But everything paid off. I even gain some weight. I was all about food. Especially beef and bacon!! Well, I didn't shop as much as I did in Singapore last month. Thing is, my dad is around and keep his eyes on my every moves. Yeah, I hate that. But truth is Im kinda miss the way he protect me. Maybe I never grow up in his mind, fine! That means I'll be his forever little girl :)

So, back to my holiday trip. The only thing I regret is, I didn't visit any beach. Yeah! What is summer without BEACH!! I even prepared to-do list on summer such as snorkeling, riding banana boat, and try parasailing. I know that sounds pity. Alright, maybe next time. And Im very sure, my dad wont let me do any of those.

Time for pictures to speak. Start with my biggest sin of holiday.

I forgot on which day since my arrival in Thailand, we visited wonder world. Not to compare with other theme park, but this one complete our holiday.

My favorite <3

And this is the most entertaining part, we all take a shot for this.

My Super Papa <3

A bit narcissism detected here!

What is the must-visited place in Thailand, beside the Grand Palace? Floating market! Though I didn't shop much, but sitting on the boat with the people around selling things is pretty fun.

Look at how strong is this grandma! XD
We stayed at Baiyoke sky hotel, the tallest tower in Bangkok. The rooftop is amazing at night. And yeah, I wish someday get proposed at a place with such view.

Well, that is the last pic of this post. Goodnite, world!
xx! :*
