Homemade Choco Mug Ice Cream

Im not a good cook, nor I know how to 'cook'. Few times I cook something, the result is not quite satisfy. Yesterday I make a choco mug as I remember valentine is coming. Let the story begin.

First, slice the chocolate bar, so it'll be easier melted.
Boil water, put the chocolate in a bowl and heat it till melting. Stir it up.
While waiting for the chocolate to melt, blow the ballons. (in my case, I fill it water because I dont have  any pump)

Then cover the bottom of ballon with chocolate. Be careful in this step, make sure u cover it well,  because if the chocolate is not quite thick, it will break once u remove the ballon.

Wait few minutes to dry up the chocolate

Cut the top of the ballon (in my case, I should really careful hold on the ballon while pouring out the water) The ballon will get smaller and easy to remove. Even easier if it doesn't contain water, because once u pin the ballon, done!
This is the look!

If u're using my method (fill with water), somehow u'll have the water on the chocolate.
Slowly dry it with cotton bud
And u already have this fancy (eatable) mug. Add ice cream, ice chocolate, cappuccino, or watever u want. It should be cold. Or the mug will melt down.

Here it go! I put mocha ice cream <3

White Rose

I must say January is a hectic month for me. Lot of works to do. I supposed to do FOUR photoshot this month regarding my leave on February. Not only that, I was also faced some troubles like dealing with florist and bridal. I choose wedding theme for February issues. In the last minute I found out, there are NO florist and bridal. And I should create them all by myself, which I think is impossible. Cuz I only got two days. But thanks God, everything went well. Here's the story of my sleepless night. And I'd like to show you how to DIY rose from tissue paper. Yeah, you heard me!

All you need is tissue paper, and separate them by ply.

Fold it on the edge like the picture below.

Pinch diagonally. And start make the crumple by folding it each side till it shapes as desired. Stick a duck tape on the bottom, so the shape would stay.

DONE!

A simple wedding gown by me. Will post the proper photoshot on coming post!

Kondangan Peranakan Tionghoa

Last night I was invited to Kondangan Peranakan Tionghoa to celebrate the first year anniversary of ASPERTINA, a chinese descendants association of Indonesia. Held at Hotel Mulia, Jakarta with the chinese culture wedding as the theme. I was so excited finding the match outfits to attend the party. So, I specially make a skirt from batik. Which I modified from dress. I put a lot of afford though it. Luckily it ended the way I want. Here's the picture of my handmade batik skirt.

Outfit of the night

Basically it's a fashion show. But I didnt get the runway picture, because it way too far from my table. Another thing is it serves the Peranakan food which is so much alike with Indonesian Melayu cuisine.

The atmosphere is bringing me back to my hometown wedding party. Everything from the lighting and decoration are so 'Medan'.

I come to represent VOICE+, the magazine I work for. Luckily, I was accompanied by a colleague who helped me a lot during the interview. And he managed to take some pictures from the runway collection.

Pringles Tube

Let's say Im bored. As I finished my cheesy cheese, I dint feel to throw the can away. Ended up inspired to do something useful. I was thinking to make a vase (but I haven't buy the flowers.. lol)
Things u need:
1. Pringles tube
2. Decoration paper
3. Scissors
4. Double tape / glue
5. Ribbon

First, clean the tube, cut the decoration paper according to the tube's size. Apply double tape on the edge. For some spot, it will be easier using liquid glue.
In my case, I would like to have an asymmetrical top, so I cut the top randomly.

Cut the ribbon, and tie at the place u desire. Easy, right?

Everything will be more fun with instagram.

Renovation

I just had a little renovation for my room. Well, probably not that 'little'. I moved my bed, desk and even wardrobe. Yes! The super big wardrobe. Hope I won't find any muscle tomorrow morning.
Honestly I found it a bit weird, because my seat is back to the door. Ah~ whatever, all I need is a space to stick my drawings, and awesome fashion photography. Yeah!

Laptop Case

Couple days ago, I feel so bored. And then I remembered my old friend, sewing machine! Yeah, my best friend during my study in Limkokwing. She stays with me till morning arise. Together we work till die. *lol*
Ah! This gonna be my first post about my new label DIY. Well, it’s not very first honestly. If u are my loyal follower, u’ll remember my post about creepo. But due to reality, I already delete that post. (well, not deleted. But keep in draft) Btw, I miss u creepo!
So what Im gonna do this time? A laptop case.

Choose your favorite fabric. Fabric scissors. Tape measure. Cushion pin. Sewing machine (for those who don’t have this, u can change with just thread and needle. Means, sew by hand.)

First, measure you laptop. Make sure u trace a bigger pattern from the real size. Add 1 inch at the edge of the pattern.
Place your pattern on folded fabric. It’s easier to place the pattern on the folded part. So u don’t have to make extra sewing. (Lazy suggestion. Haha)

Then cut it. And pinned the 1 inch edge. Join the line by sew it either by machine or hand.

U'll have this layer. Fold the layer inside like this picture below.

Pin it and sew.

Done! Simple as that. Well, not really done honestly *embarassed*
It should have zipper. But Im using velvet animal prints, so it's okay to be just like that. Furthermore if u're using this fabric, even u simply cut the edge, the fiber wont come out. Neat as u use leather.

Hope it useful.
Do it yourself!
